Beth Murray's interest in art started as a young child when she began drawing objects and copying pictures at around age 3. As time went by, her sensitivity to the visual stimulation of nature and textures developed into an intrigue toward found objects androcks and contributed to her ever growing collection of both.

As an adult, Beth has enjoyed many mediums and countless hours of sculpting, carving, sewing, dyeing fabric and paper, welding, teaching and many other ways of being creative but it is her interest in painting that has sustained her as an artist and driven her to spend most of her time studying colors, shapes, shadow, texture, etc. She graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1993 with a BFA in painting and drawing and her education and love of art continue her investigation of life and it's aesthetic.
